Welcome to ICEFN 2016

This science consortium is dedicated to the Ex-President of India, Bharat Ratna Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, a great physicist and father of Indian missile programme, a man who motivated generations across the globe. Since the past decades, our devices are becoming smaller and compact in size and at the same time getting better in terms of performance, features, energy and durability due to advances in the field of smart material and nanotechnology. The NanoScience and Nanotechnology Centre (NSNT), Department of Chemistry, D.S.B. Campus, Kumaun University, Nainital, Uttarakhand, India is organizing an International Conference on "ENERGY, FUNCTIONAL MATERIALS AND NANOTECHNOLOGY" (ICEFN-2016) from the 27th - 29th March, 2016. The conference intends to provide a platform for discussion among various pillars of science fraternity from the corners of the globe. We believe this conference will unravel the never ending mysteries of this exciting world of nanotechnology and will provide an opportunity to the larger section of the science community to interact with distinguished scholar in this area. The plenary, key notes and invited talks by eminent scientists would give insights to the current research scenario around the world that are proving beneficial to the society at large.

Cradled in the lap of majestic mountains of the Himalayas, Nainital is a popular tourist hill station. This conference will also give an opportunity to enjoy the rich culture and natural beauty of Nainital.

This conference will cover the following areas, but not limited to:

Solar cell, Fuel cell, Biosensors, Batteries, Supercapacitors , Wind energy, Photovoltaics.
Drug discovery and delivery.
Advanced inorganic, organic and ionic materials.
Natural products.
Medicinal chemistry.
Functional polymers.
Ceramic materials.
Composite materials.
Smart sensor materials and technology.
CNT's, Graphene, and 2D nanomaterials.
Nano electronics.
Polymer nano composite.
Nanomaterials and Nanotechnology for various applications.

On the request of a number of participants, ICEFN 2016 is pleased to inform you that the deadline for early bird registration has been extended upto 22nd February 2016.

The conference will provide a platform for budding scientists and young researchers. "Young Scientist Awards" will be given in both the categories viz. oral and poster presentation in order to motivate and encourage young researchers.
